The Girl and The Fig- A True Tower of Cheeses (Don't Miss the Drink Menu)

 This is one of my go-to places, and not just because I love figs. The garden patio will have you at the drink menu, but don’t miss the tower of cheeses as you settle into the menu. A comfortable and creative interior, with couches for sipping their fabulous drink concoctions, makes this corner spot right on the plaza quaint and romantic. There is usually a great prix fixe choice, but prices are quite reasonable for the culinary discoveries you will make during your meal. Their duck confit has earned its rave reviews, as has the braised boar over polenta… Usually a quite creative veggie option is available as well, such as squash pie. And don’t miss brunch- with drinks, of course (I think I have had them all- twice). One of their Bloodys is made with balsamic and sazerac- best one I’ve had. And need I remind you to try the Fig royale? And if you want to have some fun, try the absinthe, with strainer.
